Ministries

Women's Ministry

“We may do a noble work for God if we will. Woman does not know her power for God. . . . There is a higher purpose for woman, a grander destiny. She should develop and cultivate her powers, for God can employ them in the great work of saving souls from eternal ruin.” —Testimonies Vol. 4, 642 and Evangelism 465.

YOUTH MINISTRY

And so, in these days, the young men and young women of the Advent movement have been given an important part to act in the closing drama of earth's history.  “The Lord has appointed the youth to be his helping hand.”—Testimonies for the Church 7:64.  “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world!” —“Education,” page 271

Children Ministry

“Religious instruction should be given to children from their earliest years. It should be given, not in a condemnatory spirit, but in a cheerful, happy spirit. Mothers need to be on the watch constantly, lest temptation shall come to the children in such a form as not to be recognized by them. The parents are to guard their children with wise, pleasant instruction. With loving interest they should teach them day by day what it means to be children of God and to yield the will in obedience to Him. Teach them that obedience to God involves obedience to their parents.” - Testimonies to the Churches, vol. 6, p. 93.

Health Ministry

During His ministry, Jesus devoted more time to healing the sick than to preaching. His miracles testified to the truth of His words, that He came not to destroy, but to save. - Ministry of Healing.  Daniel's clearness of mind and firmness of purpose, his strength of intellect in acquiring knowledge, were due in a great degree to the plainness of his diet, in connection with his life of prayer—Testimonies for the Church 4:515, 516, 1880

Men's Ministry

The greatest want of the world is the want of men,--men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.--Education, p 57. Men of stamina are wanted, men who will not wait to have their way smoothed and every obstacle removed, men who will inspire with fresh zeal the flagging efforts of dispirited workers, men whose hearts are warm with Christian love and whose hands are strong to do their Master's work. - Ministry of  healing

Media Ministry

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” - Mark 16.15. Then I saw another angel flying overhead, with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth to every nation and tribe and tongue and people -Revelation 14.6

Personal Ministry

“Thousands of hearts can be reached in the most simple way. The most intellectual, those who are looked upon and praised as the world’s great and gifted men and women, are often refreshed by the most humble, simple words spoken by one who loves God, who can speak of that love as naturally as worldlings can speak of those things which their minds contemplate and feed upon. Words, even if well prepared and studied, have little influence; but the true, honest work of a son or a daughter of God in words, or in a service of little things, done in natural simplicity, will unbolt the door, which has long been locked, to many souls” ( Evangelism, pp. 443, 444). “What you need is a living experience in the things of God, and simplicity in presenting the love of Christ to the lost” (Sons and Daughters of God, p. 266).

  MINISTRIES

The Seventh Day Adventist Church is made up of a number of self-supporting ministries that have their own goals, but function in conjunction with the local church, to support the church’s mission.
